About Sky Campground

Sky Campground is nestled in a Bishop Pine forest on an inland ridge, offering a more sheltered experience than the coastal sites. Multiple trail connections from here — you can loop to Glen or Coast via the Sky Trail. The forest canopy provides shade and wind protection, making it a good choice in colder months.

How to Get There

  1. Start at Sky Trailhead (Limantour Road). Parking is available, but arrive early on weekends — lots fill by 9 AM.
  2. Follow the trail for 1.4 miles (350 ft elevation gain). The trail takes approximately 1 to 1 hours depending on pace and pack weight.
  3. Check in at the campground. There is no ranger station at the site — self-register upon arrival.
