Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Point Reyes Camping Gear services, you agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.
2. Service Description
Point Reyes Camping Gear provides camping equipment rental and delivery services to developed campgrounds within Point Reyes National Seashore. Our services include:
- Equipment rental reservations
- Direct delivery to designated campgrounds
- Equipment pickup at the end of rental period
- Customer support and equipment guidance
3. Service Area
We deliver exclusively to the following developed campgrounds in Point Reyes National Seashore:
- Coast Campground
- Limantour Beach area
- Sky Campground
- Glen Campground
- Wildcat Campground
4. Operating Hours
Regular delivery hours are 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily. Emergency and last-minute deliveries may be available with premium pricing and subject to availability.
Rental Agreement
1. Reservations and Payment
- Reservations can be made online or by phone
- A security deposit may be required for certain equipment
- Payment is due at time of delivery unless other arrangements are made
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance for full refund
2. Equipment Condition and Care
- All equipment is provided in clean, working condition
- Renters are responsible for reasonable care of equipment
- Normal wear and tear is expected and acceptable
- Damage beyond normal wear may result in repair or replacement charges
3. Security Deposits and Damage Policy
Security deposits may be required for high-value items. Deposits will be refunded upon return of equipment in acceptable condition. Replacement costs for lost or severely damaged items:
- Premium Headlamp: $35
- Fleece Jacket: $60
- Camp Chair: $40
- Rain Poncho: $20
4. Return Policy
- Equipment must be returned at the scheduled pickup time
- Late returns may incur additional daily charges
- Equipment should be reasonably clean and dry
- Missing items will be charged at replacement cost
Liability and Insurance
1. Limitation of Liability
Point Reyes Camping Gear and Moonfroggy LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or equipment.
2. Equipment Warranty
We provide equipment in good working condition but make no warranties regarding performance in specific conditions. Weather, user error, or unforeseen circumstances may affect equipment performance.
3. Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for:
- Proper use of equipment according to manufacturer guidelines
- Their own safety and the safety of others in their party
- Understanding basic operation of rented equipment
- Compliance with all National Park Service regulations
Privacy Policy
1. Information Collection
We collect only information necessary to provide our services:
- Contact information (name, phone, email)
- Campground and delivery location
- Rental dates and equipment requests
- Payment information (processed securely)
2. Information Use
Your information is used solely for:
- Processing and fulfilling rental orders
- Communicating about your reservation
- Improving our services
- Complying with legal requirements
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to provide our services (e.g., payment processing) or as required by law.
4. Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Additional Policies
1. Weather Policy
Deliveries may be delayed or cancelled due to severe weather conditions for safety reasons. We will contact customers as soon as possible regarding weather-related changes.
2. National Park Service Compliance
All equipment and services comply with National Park Service regulations. Customers are responsible for following all park rules and regulations during their stay.
3. Modification of Terms
These terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of new terms. Significant changes will be communicated to customers.
4. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes will be resolved through good faith negotiation. If necessary, disputes will be handled according to California state law in Marin County.
